VALENTINE'S DAY

by PHOEBE69 @ 2008-02-14 - 18:50:49

To Angelwishes

The problem is that They forgot to feed the love.
Any Woman needs love as a plant needs water.
They assume that saying once "I love you" is enough for ages, but They are totally wrong.

A woman needs care everyday, every hour... and when she walks away, astonished men don't know why.

Fortunately not every man is the same but...
Man, frankly think, today have you made her happy?
And not because it's Valentine's Day but because it's another day.

2008 : We live the future

by PHOEBE69 @ 2008-01-24 - 13:05:51

What's the matter with answering the emails?
Emails are immediate.
Few days ago I've received a reply from a friends of mine who
I barely remember to have written to, because it was two months earlier.

One month ago I sent an email to a Company to have some delivery updates and they've never answered. (In the meanwhile I received the products, ok that's fine).

But if I write to someone it's because I need to correspond with. I would like to know if that person has received my letter.

Don't blame the postman....

I don't like being ignored.

I wish to everybody a beautiful day.

Today I want to share with you a Traditional Italian recipe from Liguria.

Courgettes Pie   This Courgettes Pie recipe is from my Grandma (I miss her so much)

Ingredients:

2 courgettes
1/3 medium-sized butternut squash (same amount of a courgette)
½ onion
Parmesan
3 whole eggs
Salt
Half handful of rice
1 roll of Puff Pastry (already made)

In a large bowl:
Shred the courgettes, the butternut squash, and the onion on a hand grater
Add Grated Parmesan
Add three whole eggs
Add Salt
Add the half handful of rice

Roll out puff pastry sheet on lightly floured surface.
With a roller make thinner the dough and large enough to be folded.

Lay the puff pastry on a greased and floured baker tray.

Pour the mixture over the pastry.
Fold the pastry over the filling and press to seal.

Put the tray in oven at about 190 degrees.
Cook the pie for 45 minutes.

If you prefer you can use only butternut squash or 3 courgettes or…
seasonal vegetables like artichokes, peas, swiss chards to make your own vegetable (or not vegetable) pie.
Today I’ve made my pie adding some slices of ham to make happy my cat.
I’m joking, it was for my boyfriend.

Rosie the secretary

I've got three cats.
They sleep and eat, eat and sleep.
Watching them I'm getting lazy too.

Here is a picture of me during housekeeping.

Time

by PHOEBE69 @ 2007-11-21 - 20:16:34

Time...
It's never enough.
It's too fast.
It's indelible.
It leaves traces.
Time is cruel.

Sandcastle

by PHOEBE69 @ 2007-11-14 - 14:43:35

I'm a sandcastle
on the beach,
solid and proud.

I'm staring with desire
at the waves.sandcastle

They're nearly touching me.

If just one could reach me
it would dissolve myself.

It would be the end.

Or a new beginning.

Market street life

by PHOEBE69 @ 2007-11-13 - 21:08:46

My last Market was being awful but something happened to change the day
On Friday the wind tried to blow away my umbrella. The lids of mirror's boxes were flying everywhere, my hat flew off and fell in the Thames.

I was abandoning the idea to have back my hat, when suddenly my collegue run away from her stall and she came back with a stick.

I dragged the stupid beret near me but I couldn't pull it out from the water.
I would have needed a hook when another my collegue from the other side of Market climbed over the railing and grabbed it. Friends!

At the end of the day a couple of swan swam in the river close to me. I took pictures and I gave them some bread that, to my amazement, they kindly ate from my hand.

Terrible weather, bad business, lovely day.

Post scriptum for my teacher: Do you know how this is difficult for me? However I'm pleased to try it out.
